Internships
Victim/Witness Internship Program
The Des Moines County Attorney's Office periodically welcomes college students to intern with our office. We are looking for students dedicated to the highest degree of professionalism. If you are interested in employment as a prosecutor, victim service professional, law enforcement, or curious about how our criminal justice system works, interning is a great way to gain insight in these fields.

An internship with our office provides hands-on experience in the prosecution field. The intern will work with the assistant county attorneys and victim services, and will become familiar with the courts and defense attorneys. The intern will attend criminal court proceedings, tour correctional facilities, help with victim services, and many other duties as assigned. All interns will be exposed to the inner workings of the county attorney's office.

Hours
Subject to program availability.
Time commitment of 37.5 hours per week:

The intern shall not discuss specifics of any case prosecuted by the office with anyone other than office staff.
